The pillowcase
I and my family used to move around a lot, so I always have to pack things and leave some behind. But there is this blue pillowcase that for some reason, I always have. My mom said I have had it since I was four. But the funny thing is I hardly ever put it on an actual pillow, I just hold it whenever I go to sleep. I don’t exactly know why, maybe because it was blue or because it was soft. When I moved to the United States all by myself, once again I could not forget to bring my blue pillowcase. Now, I think it is more than just a case. I had it when my grandparents were still alive. I had it when I still live with my parents and surround by people I felt comfortable with. I did not think much of it before but now, I think this pillowcase that I am holding right now when I am writing this post represents my past and my childhood. I do feel comfortable when I am holding this blue thingy and my parents are always with me through this blue pillowcase.
It's interesting how something so random can hold so much comfort and relief to us, it's good you have something to help you feel closer to your loved ones.

Trả lờiXóaIt's so amazing how the pillowcase was with you in such important and significant moments in your life. That's why symbols can be literally anything! Maybe for some people it's an ordinary pillowcase but it has a powerful meaning to you.
