Post 8: Verse

Jobs are essential and needed to sustain life. But life is more than to sustain. It has beauty, emotions. As a kid, I always dream. I dreamed a lot. But as I grow older, I think instead of dreaming. Sometimes, I think I busy and got caught up with time. Therefore, once in a while, I just want to stop thinking and dreaming again, be happy again. I think want to have some positivity. I think I got that idea because of my observing people. I often notice people around me are very much stressful. They all talk about how stressed they are, how tired they are... Sometimes I just want to make people around have a little joy in their life. I think that would be my verse. I wanted to contribute some little giggle to the poems of life.

    Yes, jobs are more important because they will help you to save money and if you start working at a young age it will help you prepare for a better future. If you keep dreaming, work hard, and keep practicing, you might reach your goal. Most parents are very irritated about their job because they can be exhausted and stressed to support their children.

    Jobs are almost one of the few guarantees in life and it is really good to see past your jobs sometimes and view a different setting such as a vacation or anything to take your mind off of it.

Introduction

My name is Lan. I am an international student from Vietnam. I currently major in IT but considering changing it. I love to play and watch sports especially soccer. I have been in the State for 2 years and my experience here so far is not so bad. Last year was a bumper but I hope to have a fascinating and interesting year.

Post 15

 I think the most important thing I have learned in this class is about taking another perspective on an issue. I think many of the stories and poems in the course gave me a new way of looking at events. I got this view from reading "The Story of an Hour" by Kate Chopin. The wife in the story died which appears to be the joy of her husband's return but in fact, it was the loss of her freedom. I did not recognize this the first time I read the story but through some research. I have tried to understand the story from another perspective. I have also learned that literature has a stronger connection to my surrounding life than I thought. Through this course, I have learned to relate my social life and other courses that I learn into literature.
